This specialty lowball glass is engraved with the Clan Bruce Crest and the words "Clan Bruce " Below in Old English Font. In 1066 when William the Conquerer came to England, Robert de Brus came with him. The family received the lands of Annandale in 1124 by King David I. The name is forever entwined with Scottish history.
Clan comes from the Gaelic word "clann" which is translated to "children," used to identify familial groups giving a common sense of generational connection. In Scotland the Clan system that is, Scottish Heraldry and Coats of Arms are regulated to this day by Lord Lyon who manages the Scottish Public Registers of Arms and Genealogies.
