The Triskelion is an ancient Celtic symbol found to stone carvings at megalithic sites such as Newgrange Ireland, dating back 5200 years.
The Greek seafaring ancient culture of the Mycenaean's also depicts the Triskelion on many of their paintings and clay pots. Triskelion comes from the Greek work meaning "three legs."
Today the symbol is found on several European state seals and is most closely associated with Celtic culture.
