This Ancient symbol is said to have first been used by Welsh kings after Rome’s occupational withdrawal around the early Fifth Century A.D. The Welsh Dragon first shows up in the historical written record as representing Wales in 829 A.D. and its current form was adopted in 1959. It has claimed the title of the longest national flag in existence.
